1907 : T. Ippen, Austro- Hungarian consul in Shkodra presents a first report on Lissus.

 

1919 : C. Praschniker and A. Schober , detailed description of the then visible city walls and the first topographical plan.

 

1970s : F. Prendi and K. Zheku , partial excavation and reconstruction of the city walls.

 

1980s : F. Prendi, explores the city walls in the lower town and unearths the western wall, facing the Drin, and the so-called port gate.
