Geography

Position: Situated in the hill top village of Ploce. The site is bordered by:

• In the southeast: the old road Vlore to Tepelene.
• North: the string of hills.
• West: cemetery.
• South: borders of the river valley.

Amantia is situated in the neighborhoud of 2 important rivers:

• River Vjosa: 76km long, a natural border between the districts of Fier and Vlorës. Ha a flow capacity of 21.000 l / s
• River Shushica: The only branch of the Vjosa river with lower flow, a length of approximately 80 km. The source is in the Kuci Gorge.
